The Department of State Services, DSS, continued siege to the residence of former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) is as a result of the agency wanting to lay their hands on the tape of the secret meeting former INEC chairman Professor Attahiru Jega held with Northern leaders in Dubai which is in Dasuki’s possession.

The DSS had on July 9, 2015, on a Thursday, raided Dasuki’s Abuja and Sokoto homes which the agency claimed to be based on credible intelligence linking the immediate past NSA, Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (Col rtd) with alleged plans to commit treasonable felony against the Nigerian State.

However, it has been learnt that the tape of the secret meeting Jega had with Northern elders in Dubai in Dasuki’s possession is the reason why the DSS invaded his house.

On the 5th of November, three months after raiding his Abuja residence, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) again returned to Sambo’s house.

Investigations revealed that the DSS operatives besieged the residence of Dasuki with the intent to prevent him from embarking on a supposed planned trip to the UK for medical treatment.

On Tuesday, a court had ruled that Dasuki’s international passport, which was seized by the DSS, should be released to enable him travel abroad for medical treatment which led to the DSS operatives besieging his residence with the intent to prevent him from embarking on a planned trip to the UK for medical treatment.

Reports indicate that the DSS is trying to stop Dasuki from taking abroad the tape of Jega’s pre-election secret meeting with Northern elders in Dubai abroad – as the content of the tape is rumored to be whistle-blower on the 2015 Presidential election.

Professor Jega Dubai meeting with Northern elders in Dubai had been the basis that calls for Jega’s resignation was tagged on, with some reports before the election indicating that he had submitted his resignation which was rejected by Goodluck Jonathan – based on public outcry which would have followed suit. culled from The Authority
