Bwari monarch settles attempted religious crisis
The Esu of Bwari, His Royal Highness, Ibrahim Yero has resolved the
attempted religious crisis between two Islamic groups, Dereka and Izela
groups over the pattern of prayers at Paze community in Bwari Area
Council.
Members of the two groups where sometimes in February this year
divided on how to be conducting prayers at the Mosque located in front
of the palace of Paze community leader, Saidu Ibrahim.
The AUTHORITY recall that the development led to the invitation of the
Kubwa Police Division to explain the circumstances that were
surrounding the faceoff, but given the sensitivity of the matter the
village head of Byzhin, Malam Sulieman Kaura took it to the Esu for
resolution.
Following the disagreement, Ibrahim Yero advised both parties to
ensure that there is peace, than anything that could bring about
breakdown of law and other.
He called on them to use their religion and foster peace in the
community, “every religion preaches peace, so there is no need for you
people to be divided.
“All of you should work together as family members and not enemies,
you people should do all that is needed to promote love and unity and
not hatred.”
However, after the judgement by HRH Yero in his palace, he directed
that a separate land in the community be given to the Izela members to
build their Mosque, following their reported opposition to the pattern
of prayers and worship in the Mosque. - The Authority
