The new chairman of the commission, Dr. Mike Ezegwu Ajiogwu, a Senior
Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the other members of the state electoral
body took oath of office administered by the State Solicitor General,

Speaking after the new electoral umpires were sworn in, Governor

adding that there was a clear need to fill the existing vacancies in
the commission following the end of tenures of the former chairman and
some other members of the body.

person of Mr. Tagbo Nnama, was appointed from the State Public Service
to the commission.

repute, competence, and experience as the chairman and members of ENSIEC
would usher in a new era of efficiency and progress in the discharge of
the commission’s mandate”, said the governor.
He noted that with the new development, his administration will now
proceed to tackle the issues of funding and other logistics that will
pave the way for the immediate commencement of political activities at
the third tiers of government in the state, urging the members to live
above board in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Dr. Ajiogwu SAN, who responded on behalf of the others expressed their
appreciation for the appointments and told the governor that they were
