health and well-being of students through physical recreational

of defective in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
The bank under the auspices of its Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), the
multi-purpose vehicle of corporate social responsibility (CSR), also

continuous efforts to improve standard of education in the country.

Calabar whose personal contributions was supported by the bank, and it
is in fulfillment of the objectives of the bank’s CSR philosophy which
rests on a tripod of environment, education and health.

decision to embark on the project was borne out of a deep-seated
realization that education remains critical to driving socio-economic
development in Nigeria.

Okonkwo pointed out that absence of modern educational basics in schools
disrupts learning process which consequently undermines the mental
development of students.
According to him, the bank is making conscious efforts to empower the
youths because Fidelity Bank believes that the future belongs to them.
On her part, the Cross River State Governor’s wife, Linda Ayade,
commended Fidelity for its kind gesture including the bank’s staff in
the state who contributed their personal funds for the project.
Mrs. Ayade said that the facilities would encourage students of the
school, in their mental development, and help in raising a new
generation of Nigerian youths and called on other corporate
