Imo ready for investors - Okorocha
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has announced the readiness of the state to welcome investors.
Gov Okorocha made the announcement on Monday while briefing journalists
in the state. According to him, everything has been put in place to
ensure comfort and safety for prospective investors coming into the
state.
He disclosed that the ongoing urban development carried out by his
administration will further boost the economy of the state when the
investors arrive.
Part of the measures to attract investors into the state according to
him is the construction of eight lane roads and creation of eight Inland
roads at New Owerri and Nekede.
Gov Okorocha who has christened his state urban development programme
as ‘Imo my pride’ has also mounted street lights on all the major roads
and streets in the state capital.
In the area of security, he said that his administration would soon
launch the Imo My Pride Security Network vehicles which he added will
be stationed at every major junction in the state to check crimes.
He also said that the patrol vehicles would be installed with CCTV
cameras to be mounted as well in the streets in the state capital.
Okorocha added that already the state is witnessing a federal
presence with the ongoing construction of a $2billion Industrial Park
at Asa in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state.-The Authority
