Senate adjourns plenary for Adeleke
The senate on Tuesday sat for a few minutes before adjourning till
Wednesday out of respect for Isiaka Adeleke, a senator from Osun state,
who died on Sunday.
The upper legislative also held a one-minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed lawmaker.
Senate President Bukola Saraki, who presided over the brief plenary
session, said a valedictory session would be held for the deceased on
Wednesday.
The senate president had led a delegation to commiserate with the family of the late lawmaker.
Adeleke was reported to have died of drug (painkiller) overdose. He was buried on Monday.-The Authority
