African billionaires and presidents gather in Abidjan for The Africa CEO Forum
African billionaires and hundreds of business and government
leaders from across the continent will gather in Abidjan, Ivory Coast’s
economic capital, from Mon., June 5, until Tuesday for this year’s edition of The
Africa CEO Forum.
The
Africa CEO Forum will bring together the players who are forging a sovereign
and competitive Africa capable of transforming crises into opportunities, where
they will explore themes around the conduct of an energy transition adapted to
the continent, the local impact of mining or agribusiness, the development of
African voices on significant global problems, and adaptation of businesses to
the global inflationary crisis.
All major industries will be covered, with particular emphasis
on women executives, family enterprises, and startups. It is anticipated that
50 innovative companies that have collectively raised more than $1 billion will
attend the event.
Among
the personalities confirmed for this year’s event are billionaires Abdul Samad
Rabiu, chairman of BUA Group and Aziz Akhannouch, the prime minister of
Morocco; Malagasy tycoon Hassanein Hiridjee, CEO of Axian Group, as well as the
presidents of Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal, among other personalities.
The
Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media Group, is the
reference platform for the leaders of the largest African and international
companies, international investors, heads of multinationals, heads of state,
ministers, and representatives of the leading financial institutions active on
the continent.
